You may have noticed that we offer two types of handles for our Outdoor knives. We have made it possible to offer you two grades of handle materials.
What is G10?
G10 is composed of fiberglass that is soaked in resin. After compression and hardening through baking, G10 becomes a lightweight, durable, and robust material. Outdoor and survival knives often feature G10 handles due to these characteristics. G10 is a highly resistant material that is not very susceptible to water, cold, heat, decay, or corrosion.
What is PA6 FV?
PA6 is a polyamide, which is a technical thermoplastic. For our Outdoor knife collection, we have selected a PA6 FV, meaning it is reinforced with fiberglass. Incorporating fiberglass into polyamide allows the formation of a three-dimensional network within the structure of the piece. The technical properties of PA6 FV closely resemble those of metals in terms of deformation, creep characteristics, and energy absorption.
