CAC screw kit

Why is this screw kit essential?
The screws that attach the scales to the frame of your C.A.C.® knife are crucial for its rigidity and the security of your grip. A single missing or loose screw can compromise ergonomics, introduce dangerous play, and potentially damage the handle in the long run. For a professional user or a demanding enthusiast, it's unthinkable to leave such a detail to chance. This kit is not just a collection of screws; it's an assurance to keep your C.A.C.® in a state of absolute reliability, ready for any mission.
What are the technical characteristics of this kit?
This screw kit contains all the screws required for attaching the two handle scales. It offers you a choice between two finishes to match your knife model and your preferences.
- 5 x M2X5 TX Screws (Burnished Finish): Black in color, these screws are identical to those fitted on C.A.C.® models with dark handles. They ensure a discreet, anti-glare finish.
- 5 x M2X5 TX Screws (Stainless Steel Finish): Steel-colored, these screws offer maximum corrosion resistance. They are ideal for humid or saline environments, or for a contrasting style on a black handle.
- Specifications: All screws are M2x5 with a Torx (TX) drive, ensuring efficient tightening torque and reducing the risk of damaging the screw head during assembly.
What are the strengths of this product?
- Complete and versatile kit: Contains enough screws for a full replacement, with spare parts and a choice of finish.

How to use this product?
Replacing one or more scale screws is a simple maintenance operation.
- Prepare your tools: Get a precision screwdriver with the appropriate Torx (TX) bit for the M2 screw head.
- Remove the old screw: Carefully unscrew the screw(s) to be replaced.
- Clean the threads: Make sure the threads on the knife frame are clean.
- Install the new screw: Choose the screw (burnished or stainless steel) and start screwing it by hand, then finish with the tool.
- Tighten moderately: Screw until the scale is firmly attached. There is no need to over-tighten, at the risk of damaging the screw or the scale.
Pro tip: If you are replacing all the screws on a scale, tighten them gradually by alternating (like a car wheel) to distribute the pressure evenly.
