How to use this product?
Replacing the pivot of your C.A.C.® knife is a maintenance operation that requires precision. Here are the recommended steps:
- Prepare your workspace: Work on a clean, well-lit surface. Make sure you have the appropriate tools (usually Torx bits, check the size on your C.A.C.® model).
- Disassemble carefully: Unscrew the locking screw then the blade screw to release the pivot. Keep all other parts (scales, washers) in order.
- Clean the components: Take the opportunity to clean the pivot location and washers with a dry cloth.
- Install the new parts: Insert the new PVD pivot, position the blade and washers, then insert the new blade screw and locking screw.
- Adjust the tightening: Gradually tighten the blade screw until you achieve smooth opening without lateral play. Excessive tightening will make opening difficult, while insufficient tightening will create play. Finalize by tightening the locking screw.
