Appearing simple, Impact 127® reveals a concentration of ingenious ideas, akin to other TB-Outdoor products. Rather than compromising the project to make it simpler and quicker to manufacture, we preferred to take the time and make the necessary material investments to achieve an uncompromising product, the one we had in mind.

Impact 127® finds its roots in the history of humanity's first tools, when manufacturing meant removing material rather than transforming it. The early humans carved rudimentary tools from raw materials. It is this same pioneering spirit that we find around Impact 127®. This backup knife carries within it the fundamentals of TB-Outdoor's future creations.

The sheath of the Impact 127® knife is injection molded under pressure and partially composed of fiberglass, making it extremely shock-resistant. Its dynamic and hollowed-out design allows for significant weight savings while allowing water to escape naturally. A powerful magnet securely holds the knife in place and effectively guides the blade during the insertion phase for total safety.

The knife/sheath combination is inseparable. The sheath is the indispensable companion of Impact 127®. We believe that one cannot go without the other. Thus, all Impact 127® knives are sold with this innovative sheath. Securely in place in its protection, the blade of Impact 127® remains visible while being protected.

L'étui de l'Impact 127® est-il aussi innovant que le couteau lui-même ?

Absolument. L'étui a été conçu pour être le complément parfait du couteau, pas un simple accessoire de protection. Fabriqué en **PA6**, un matériau extrêmement résistant aux chocs, il est entièrement ajouré pour réduire le poids et laisser l'eau s'évacuer facilement. Son design minimaliste met en valeur la lame et suit la même esthétique angulaire que le couteau.

L'innovation la plus remarquable est sans doute l'intégration d'un **aimant circulaire puissant**. Cet aimant guide la lame pour qu'elle trouve sa place instantanément, et la plaque fermement contre l'étui. Fini les manipulations complexes pour ranger ou sortir votre couteau : il suffit de le glisser pour que l'aimant le sécurise.


Comment le couteau est-il conçu pour le port ?

Le concept de l'Impact 127® repose sur la discrétion et la facilité de port. Sa finesse et son poids de 127 grammes en font un couteau qui se fait oublier. L'étui a été conçu pour s'adapter à plusieurs types de port :

  • Horizontal : Un port discret à la ceinture, idéal pour les missions où la discrétion est primordiale.
  • Vertical : Une option de port classique pour un accès rapide.

Ces options sont rendues possibles par un **clip ceinture amovible** et des inserts en inox. Le clip se retire et se fixe simplement à l'aide de deux vis, pour changer de configuration en quelques minutes.

Glossaire

Jimping
Terme désignant une série de petites rainures ou encoches sur le dos de la lame ou d'une partie du manche d'un couteau. Elles améliorent la prise en main en empêchant le pouce ou l'index de glisser.
PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition)
Un procédé de revêtement de surface qui dépose un film fin et durable. Il offre une excellente résistance à la corrosion, à l'usure, et dans le cas de l'Impact 127®, une finition noire mate anti-reflet.
